Math Tutor DVD Video Series in Basic Math Through Advanced Calculus Earns Accolade

Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 23, 2008 -- Math Tutor DVD was honored by the Family Review Center with the presentation of the 2008 Editor's Choice Award in educational math products. Math Tutor DVD's extensive offering of math tutorial products beginning with basic math through advanced university calculus "walks you through multiple problems, rather than quickly showing you the steps and moving on", according to award judge Serena Phillips.

The review team agreed that the DVD series deserved the award, saying "I like the simplistic manner and ease in which he teaches. This makes math much less scary and much more doable. You can actually see what is going on and understand how it all works together."

The Math Tutor DVD series of DVDs began in 2004 with the release of the Algebra Tutor (http://www.mathtutordvd.com) and over the years has continued to produce quality math help (http://www.mathtutordvd.com) on DVD that is both affordable for students and effective at teaching. This is accomplished by teaching the concepts by working example problems rather than long dry lectures. The DVD series now consists of 14 courses available in subject such as Basic Math, Algebra, Word Problems, Trigonometry, Physics, Probability and Statistics, Introductory Calculus, and Advanced University Calculus.

Students use the DVDs as a supplement to their class, in effect getting a private tutor in their home for a fraction of the cost of an in-home personal tutor. Most importantly, the DVDs are effective.

As one reviewer stated, "Math Tutor DVD gives you real life examples of the math issues you face. Walking you through problem after problem, giving you tips along the way. These videos offer hours of tutoring for a very moderate and affordable price. You would spend hundreds of dollars hiring a tutor to give this much instruction. Now you have an excellent resource to go to at any hour of any day, time and time again."

How The Grinch Stole Christmas (DVD) Review
One of a handful of essential, "must-see" animated Christmas classics, How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a Dr. Seuss holiday masterpiece. Created in 1966 on the heels of the phenomenal success surrounding such TV specials as A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964), the Grinch has morphed into a sacred annual Christmas rite perfect for any child from one to ninety-two. The narration and singing voice of Boris Karloff breathes life into the 1955 Dr. Seuss tale of a dark and miserly heart?s redemption, thus revealing the true meaning of Christmas. Based on Charles Dickens? literary classic A Christmas Carol, it creates a uniquely memorable caricature of the Scrooge personality we?ve come to know so well?
