New Martial Art DVD "Dojo - A Warrior's Journey" Available from Senso-Ryu Aikijutsu Hombu Dojo Indianapolis & Ted Hanulak Sensei

Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) January 17, 2008 -- The new martial art DVD "Dojo - A Warrior's Journey" is now available from Senso-Ryu Aikijutsu Hombu Dojo in Indianapolis under the athourity of Ted Hanulak Sensei. A rare look inside the Aikijutsu Academy of Indianapolis, http://www.aiki-jutsu.com, a traditional Japanese Dojo. Filmed on location at the Aikijutsu Academy of Indianapolis, the DVD explores the extremely effective modern martial art of Senso-Ryu Aikijutsu. The DVD consists of full contact hard and soft technique, weapon training with bokken (wooden sword) and katana (live sword), and zen meditation.

It should be noted that this DVD is a demonstration video and not an instructional video. The purpose of the video is to give a inside view into one of the last true martial art dojos.

Senso-Ryu Aikijutsu it is a gendai sogo bujutsu or "modern composite martial art" consisting of jujutsu (grappling, submissions, immobilizations), atemi- waza (striking techniques), projections (throws) with "aiki" principles, and weapons.

Originally developed in the late 1960's from various Japanese arts, It is an effective, well rounded system primarily focusing on defense against multiple attackers (taninsu kake). The Senso-Ryu claim no direct connection to any specific koryu. This art is extremely effective for law enforcement and security. Head teacher, Ted Hanulak, is a former decorated police officer and private security specialist. He has taken his personal hands-on fighting / self defense experience through the years and applied it to this art. Many students and instructors of Senso-Ryu Aikijutsu are also in law enforcement, security, and military.
